Interested in becoming a vet? Not sure what the next steps are or which university to apply to? Come and explore some of the UK's vet schools at our first ever National Virtual Vet Taster event being held on Wednesday, 12 May 2021 between 16:30 and 18:30.

You’ll have the fantastic opportunity to hear live talks from staff and students from seven of the UK’s vet schools. We’ll also be hearing from the British Veterinary Association (BVA) and the British Veterinary Ethnicity & Diversity Society (BVEDS) on where a veterinary degree can take you.

Following our talks, you can join a live Q&A where you’ll have the unique opportunity to chat to Student Ambassadors from the participating vet schools, all in one place! If you’re curious about what university life is really like for current students, this is your chance to ask them all about topics such as student life, courses, societies, work experience and why they chose to be a vet.

Seven of the UK’s vet schools are attending - Bristol, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Nottingham, the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) and Surrey.

The event is FREE to attend and is aimed at Year 12 students from UK state schools and mature learners (aged over 21). You must fulfil certain Widening Participation eligibility criteria to sign up.

Click here to apply today!

Applications close on Tuesday 4 May.

If you have any questions about the event or how to apply please email Lindsay, one of the event organisers at outreach-healthsci@bristol.ac.uk
