New distance learning Small Animal Medicine Programme

Improve International logo
Improve International is launching a distance learning version of its postgraduate certificate (PgC) small animal medicine programme for vets who don’t have the time to participate in the attendance version of the programme, or who work in countries where such training isn’t available. Available from January 2019, it will offer an opportunity to study for a recognised postgraduate qualification.

The 20-module medicine programme covers all of the major body systems of cats and dogs and combines the latest thinking in small animal medicine with access to the same learning resources as the attendance programme.

Delegates will benefit from a module tutor – an RCVS or European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine/American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine small animal internal medicine diploma holder – and a dedicated programme tutor to offer support. The programme includes:

  • Interactive and engaging modules to enable participants to absorb the learning materials in an online environment;

  • Real-life case studies to support relating learning back to practice;

  • Presentations, written notes, interactive quizzes and exercises to test knowledge;

  • The opportunity to extend knowledge or progress to achieving a recognised qualification, general practitioner certificate (GPCert) or a PgC.
