Job Details
Are you looking to join a practice where progression and enjoyment are at the heart of the team's values? With brand-new practice owners paying up to £60,000 (FTE, DOE)?
About Us:
Chester is a well-known historical city in the Northwest of England, renowned for its Roman city walls and two-tier shopping streets. It offers the best of both worlds: a bustling city centre surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is also less than an hour from both Liverpool and Manchester. The practice itself is located on the outskirts of the city centre to the north and is easily accessible via local transport routes.
The practice is undergoing exciting changes, with new owners implementing fantastic improvements to push the practice to new heights.
The team currently comprises 7 vets, 5 RVNs, 2 SVNs, and 3 receptionists, all led by our practice manager. Within the clinical team, we have a variety of interests, which would allow you to join the practice and gain a wealth of knowledge not available at other practices. Our caseload is varied, with a high proportion of insured pets and proactive clients.
As a team, we enjoy socialising outside of work, whether through sporting or charity events, dog walks, conquering escape rooms, or just drinks in the pub, which helps strengthen the togetherness of the team.
The Role:
We are ideally looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon who is confident with routine surgery and consultations. An interest in orthopaedics would be an advantage but is not essential. We are looking for someone to join us on a full-time basis, but we can consider different hours and are open to discussing how this could work for you.
We work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. Saturday mornings will be worked on a 2 in 5 basis. There is no OOH or Sundays.
On a day-to-day basis, we have a tightly structured diary to ensure that all our colleagues finish on time, which includes dedicated phone call and paperwork time, as well as fully blocked-out lunch breaks. We run 20-minute sick pet consults, and we have nurses on hand all day to assist in consultations as needed, with sufficient nursing cover to provide full nurse consults for pets and owners throughout the day.
What You Can Expect from Us:
If you would like to hear more, please contact Rach at Northvet@vets4pets.com, and someone will get back to you within one working day.
Location: CH2 2EB
Pets just see people. They aren't biased and they don't discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves, so even if your skills and experience don't perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
