About the Role

As an Advanced Practitioner in Surgery, you will play a key role in overseeing the veterinary team, ensuring the highest standards of medical and surgical care. Your leadership skills, clinical expertise, and passion for patient welfare will be instrumental in driving the success of the practice. We offer a full-time working pattern of four weekdays per week with a 1 in 6 weekend rota.

A relocation package is available for candidates moving from outside the UK or more than 60 miles from their current UK address.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding clinical care to patients during consultations and surgical procedures.

• Provide exceptional client communication, ensuring clear updates on patient progress.

• Maintain the highest standards of regulatory and clinical compliance.

• Prepare accurate estimates for clients and ensure efficient payment management.

• Work closely with the Practice Manager to enhance commercial performance.

• Mentor and develop veterinary and nursing colleagues to enhance team capabilities.

• Share best practices and stay updated on evolving surgical techniques.

• Salary: £74,000 - £102,000 per year

• Digital x-ray, ultrasound, and full-body CT scanner

• Dedicated learning and office spaces

• Your Skills & Experience:

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon

• CertAVP in Surgery

• Proficiency in TPLO/TTAs or equivalent, spinal surgeries, fracture repair, and complex soft tissue procedures (e.g., perineal urethrostomy, TECA, BOAS, thoracotomy)

• Demonstrated clinical leadership skills

• Experience in implementing progressive clinical standards

• Ability to support nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures

• Strong coaching and mentoring abilities to develop team members
