Are you an RVN looking for a new challenge in a thriving practice where you are encouraged to develop your clinical interests and apply the skills you've trained so hard to acquire? We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified nurse to join our team here at Spalding Vets for Pets!
About us
We can offer you the environment, caseload and equipment needed to utilise the skills you've gained to date whilst also giving you plenty of opportunity to develop further. We are proactive to continually support postgraduate qualifications and CPD for training in your areas of interest.
We're situated inside one of our new concept stores and are designed to deliver not only the highest clinical standards, but also a pleasant working environment for the whole team. The practice is in the lovely market town of Spalding, with good national and international transport links and the opportunity to establish a loyal, engaged client base quickly.
You'll be joining our Practice Owner who has 25 years industry experience and is passionate about Orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery.
About you
Nurses are the heart of our practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. We're looking for a proactive, enthusiastic team player who is keen to work in a progressive, fast paced first opinion practice, with high clinical standards. The key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the veterinary nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.
You'll have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare. Our team of RVNs are able to utilise their full range of skills and we actively encourage all our colleagues to develop their individual areas of clinical interests.
About the role
We understand the importance of a healthy work life balance and so we are able to offer a part time opportunity! Whatever hours you're looking for, we invite you to come and talk to us and see what we can offer you. The surgery is open between 9am and 7pm and there are no weekends or OOH involved in this position!
Benefits
By joining us you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing superb standards. We offer a supportive and friendly working environment together with career development opportunities and an excellent package and benefits that includes;
• Competitive salary of up to £30,000 FTE and DOE
• Generous CDP allowance, including funded certificates
• Social events and an emphasis on wellbeing
• No weekends or OOH
• Contributory pension scheme
• Paid memberships (RCVS, BVNA, VDS)
• Locally owned practice with the support of a larger organisation
• Exclusive company discounts and rewards - including 20% off at Pets at Home, The Groom Room and the Vet Group.
