An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established first-opinion practice in Cambridgeshire.

About the Practice:

This is a friendly and supportive RCVS-accredited practice with a stable, dedicated team and an excellent local reputation. The practice has been providing outstanding veterinary care for many years and has achieved ISFM Silver Cat-Friendly status.

The team actively encourages individual development, offering CPD and support for certificates in areas of personal interest. Vets are empowered to work up a varied caseload to completion. The practice is equipped with all the usual tools, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, an air-powered dental machine, in-house biochemistry, and haematology.

For those with an interest in orthopaedics, the practice also has TPLO equipment, and candidates with the ability to perform orthopaedic procedures will be eligible for an enhanced salary.

The Role:

• Hours: Full-time, 32–36 hours per week (flexible hours negotiable for the right candidate).
• Schedule: 1 in 3 Saturdays with time off in lieu.
• OOH: No overnight or weekend out-of-hours duties.

Location:

The practice is based in a charming town in Cambridgeshire, offering excellent amenities including restaurants, cafes, and shops. It is conveniently located with good transport links to nearby cities and the stunning Norfolk coast.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary: £55,000 per annum, with higher rates for those able to perform orthopaedic procedures.
• Holidays: 6.6 weeks of paid holiday, including bank holidays (pro rata).
• CPD: Generous CPD allowance per annum, with training support provided.
