Unlock your passions at Wright & Morten Veterinary Group
Wright & Morten Veterinary Group are a group of veterinary practices who care for the Small Animals, Equines and Farm Animals of the Macclesfield, Congleton and wider communities. Although we are a mixed practice, we operate as 3 separate Small Animal, Equine and Farm divisions. On the Small Animal side, we have our main hospital in Macclesfield plus branches in Wilmslow and Congleton, all in Cheshire. The practice is located just south of Manchester, on the western edge of the Peak District, with excellent access to the city, National Parks and further afield. You will initially be based at our Macclesfield premises but may be required to work from our Wilmslow or Congleton sites
We have a caring and compassionate team of 6.5 FTE vet, 7 RVN, 1 SVN, 2 ACA and a fantastic support and reception team. Within our team, we have a CertAVP holder, Exotic certificate holder and another Vet with dual Medicine and Emergency and Critical Care certificates. Elsewhere in the team, Vets are currently working towards certificates in Medicine.
We have just moved to a purpose built, well-equipped hospital with all the equipment you might expect: x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, full Idexx lab suite, and laparoscopic surgery equipment. We also have a CT scanner. We also operate and can run bloods at our branches.
Step into a supportive start
40 hours per week over four 10 hour days. You will be part of our Saturday rota working 2 in 5 Saturday mornings 8am – 1pm.
You will be supported by our fantastic team. We have had several new grads in recent years who remain with the practice and are familiar with the process and levels of support required. You will initially have 3 months off rota to provide full support and induction into role.
