The Old Golfhouse  won the British Veterinary Association (BVA)'s 2024 Wellbeing Awards for ‘Large Practice’. This was announced during this year’s London Vet Show & BVA Live. The judges felt The Old Golfhouse's initiatives and results were impressive, and that our application really stood out.

This includes a host of initiatives such as;

• Flexible working hours - where colleagues can take time off for things important to them
• ‘What matters to you?’ meetings - to identify potential issues and resolve them together
• Discussing failures openly with no blame - so each is seen as an opportunity to improve
• Monthly check-ins on dog walks or in coffee shops - so conversations are informal and confidential
• A ‘do not disturb’ policy for colleagues on breaks – so that they get important down-time
• A ‘pawsitivity board’ – where colleague recognitions and client feedback is shared with all
• Also dedicated to learning, going above and beyond in our CPD and dedicating practice time to our studies
