Small Animal Vet Opportunity – No OOHs, Flexible Working, and a Friendly Team!
Looking for a rewarding role where your ideas are valued, your work-life balance is respected, and you can bring your dog to work? We have an amazing opportunity for a Small Animal Vet (full or part-time) with no weekends, no on-call, and flexible hours to suit you!
About Us:
Our supportive, community-focused team works in a modern and eco-friendly clinic designed to provide top-notch care for all our furry patients. We have a welcoming environment where every team member’s ideas are encouraged, and our facilities include everything you’d expect in a top practice: separate dog, cat, and exotic wards, a dedicated dental suite, imaging room, and a private euthanasia room. With a spacious layout, three consultation rooms, and a calming area for final farewells, our setup allows for high-standard care and a positive experience for clients and pets alike.
We’re proud to be a cat- and rabbit-friendly clinic and even have a dedicated wildlife fund to help local animals in need. We’re also committed to sustainable practice, with initiatives like a compost heap and a ‘herb garden for rabbits’ to show our eco-conscious side.
Our Team:
Join our friendly team, where there’s a genuine focus on caring for our people. From experienced vets to skilled RVNs and client care professionals, everyone is approachable and eager to help, and we know how to have a bit of fun too! Whether it’s a staff bake-off, a BBQ, or an escape room adventure, there’s always something to look forward to outside of work hours. We’ve even been rated as an “Outstanding Place to Work” in our employee engagement survey.
The Role:
This role offers a balanced caseload, with 20-minute consultations in a calm, well-equipped setting. Regular breaks, admin time, and a structured diary help keep your day smooth and make sure you finish on time. You'll see a mix of medical and surgical cases, and our clinic layout supports efficient teamwork and client comfort.
What's in it for You?
- Salary: £40,000-£60,000, depending on experience (pro rata)
- Flexible Support: Visa support, temporary accommodation, and transportation options available for the first three months if needed
- Holidays: 6.6 weeks including bank holidays (pro rata)
- CPD: £1,750 budget and 5 days CPD leave annually
- Health Benefits: Health Shield cover for various wellness treatments
- Professional Fees: RCVS and two additional memberships covered
- Employee Perks: Bring your dog to work, Cycle to Work scheme, paid compassionate leave, and a day off for your birthday
- Eco-Friendly Practices: Sustainability initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint
