Veterinary Surgeon – Swindon

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a pioneering, independent Veterinary group as they look to grow their team of expert Veterinary Surgeons following a recent expansion of the clinic.

The practice is a large, purpose-built practice boasts state-of-the-art hospital facilities, including dental x-ray, laparoscopy, ultrasound, and a full IDEXX laboratory. The practice has visiting peripatetic orthopaedic specialists and a monthly visiting CT allowing a case to be seen through on client allowing a smoother client and patient journey. The team recently expanded to include 7 Vets with various clinical interests and further qualifications, supported by a vast array of support staff. This independent practice pride themselves on transparency and excellence, earning a loyal client base who trust us with their pets' health and wellbeing year after year.

The hospital regularly gets together outside of work for events like the annual Christmas party, summer BBQ, bowling, laser quest, and their trip to the Bridgwater carnival.

Location:
The practice is based in Swindon, a beautiful town in historic Wiltshire. Swindon offers the hustle and bustle of urban life with access to some of England’s most beautiful countryside. You will also be near Bath’s ancient architectural delights and Bristol’s cosmopolitan hub. There is also quick access to the M4, making trips further afield to places such as London or a visit to the coast easily manageable. 

Rota Details:
•    4 days per week
•    Only 1 in 4 Saturdays
•    No OOH
•    Fixed day off

Candidate Package:
•    Salary: £40,000 to £65,000 (depending on experience and additional responsibilities)
•    Work-Life Balance: No Sundays, OOH, or inpatient on-call duties
•    Holidays: 5 weeks plus bank holidays
•    CPD: 5 days with a minimum budget of £1600, certificates encouraged, supported, and funded
•    Professional Fees: RCVS and VDS fees paid
