GVC are providing recruitment support for an established veterinary hospital based in the Manchester who are actively recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon to be part of their fantastic team.

You will be required to provide a high standard of surgical and medical treatment to all patients. Personality, empathy, and communication skills are as important as qualifications, with a wish to work up cases to a high standard. Interests in surgery or medicine very welcome.

The hospital offer flexibility in your work hours and encourage you to discuss your preferences with them to find the best fit.

The role involves rotation among our theatre, inpatient, and consulting teams, with standard 15-minute consultation slots.

As a bustling hospital practice, they provide opportunities for flexibility in your role. For instance, you can focus more on inpatient care, orthopaedic surgery, or opt for a consulting-only position.

There is no requirement for out-of-hours work, as the dedicated team of night vets and nurses ensures comprehensive patient care.

You will collaborate closely with our highly experienced nursing team, many of whom hold advanced qualifications.

Details of the role:

  • Permanent Vet Surgeon
  • Rota details: 4 days per week with 1:5 weekends.
  • No OOHs – Dedicated night team
  • Depending on experience and qualifications – up to £50,000
  • CPD allowance and certificates fully funded
  • Visa sponsorship available if required

To be considered for this position, you must have the following or clearly be able to demonstrate your suitability for the advertised position should your application not meet the employer requirements.

  • Relevant veterinary qualification from an accredited university recognised by the RCVS
  • Up to date CPD
  • Relevant language skills - English
  • 1 Years Experience
  • Confident, friendly, and enthusiastic
