GVC are excited to be providing recruitment support to this well-established practice who are seeking an outstanding RVN to lead their Cardiff Nursing Team.


This presents an exciting opportunity to lead the nursing team within the largest first opinion branch clinic, working alongside an experienced senior vet.


The Role:

Average 38-hour week (5-day week, with 1 in 4 Saturday OR Sunday shift)

Starting salary of approximately £28k- £33K with nursing pay scale and banding scheme in place

Flexible working options considered

Actively supported Certificate Study/Clinical development

Bank holidays worked on a rota basis

No nights/twilights or on-call - covered by the dedicated ECC team


About You:

Experienced RVN passionate about delivering the highest standards of care to patients and their owners

Previous leadership experience desirable but not essential

Desire to be actively involved in both clinical and leadership/administrative work

Strong communication skills

Passion for team development and driving practice forward

Clinical coaching experience

Substantial breadth and depth of clinical knowledge/skills

The team has been serving the pets of South Wales since the 1940s. They pride themselves on their team ethic and skill set, striving to meet and achieve the values of the practice.


About the Practice:

It is situated in a diverse area, offering vibrant city life in Cardiff, as well as nature and tranquillity in the coastal towns and mountains nearby.

The Cardiff branch is the largest first opinion clinic, fully equipped with access to standard equipment such as digital x-ray, dental x-ray, full in-house lab, dedicated theatre, ultrasound, and more. The workload is varied and stimulating.

The branch is supported by their hospital, offering 24/7 inpatient care, a CT scanner, advanced ultrasonography, endosurgery facilities, extensive blood analysis equipment, dedicated theatres, ECC wards, dental suite, hydrotherapy, and physiotherapy services.
