You should be proficient in both surgical and medical nursing, work well as an individual but also be able to integrate well within the team, hardworking and reliable.

Salary for the role is up to £29,000 for 40 hr FTE depending on experience + relocation support up to £5k if required.

Rota patterns that work for you

Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career.

About Us

All three of our sites are just a short distance from the centre of Manchester for those of you that like the hustle and bustle of the city, but also just a short journey out to the beautiful Peak District National Park. Geographically, a perfect location to lay down roots! We are really lucky to be based in a fantastic location!

The main branch at Poynton is a purpose-built building and is lovely and airy. The Woodley branch is a converted house with the practice based on the ground floor so no up and down stairs with big dogs! The Cheadle branch is a stand-alone consulting only branch and extremely busy.
Hunt’s Veterinary Clinics first opened its doors in 1966 & although we were originally mixed practice, we converted our clinics to cover small animal only in November 1997 and we’ve been caring for small animals ever since. We are an RCVS accredited small animal practice. Each site is furnished to a high specification so that our high standards of care are uniform across all three sites.

Our amazing team is made up of 5 Vets, 2 New Grads, 6 RVN's, 2 SVN's, 1 VCA, 2 Receptionists and 3 Support.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a nurse to join us on permanent basis, making this a great opportunity for those new to the role and those with a wealth of experience! Our existing Vet Nurse shift pattern consists of a 4-day week, working between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm, 9.5 hours per day. You will be required to work 1 in 4 Saturdays between the hours of 8am and 4pm, with a day off in lieu during the week. There is no OOH or bank holiday cover required with this role. Part Time and Flexible Hours would also be considered.
