Maternity Cover Veterinary Surgeon required at White Cross Vets, Northampton

The Role

Our lovely Veterinary Surgeon is due to go on Maternity Leave in early September and therefore we would be looking for a temporary Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Tividale. 

We would love to speak to you, whether you're looking for full-time or part-time and can chat about flexible working if required. You will also be required to participate in a Saturday rota, with time given back in lieu for these hours. There is no OOH required. 

Share of time consulting and at least one ops day a week, with time allowance for additional procedures should investigations need to be made or follow up with cases (e.g., reporting lab results, phoning owners etc).

Salary for this role is up to £63,000 FTE depending on experience. 

About Us

Our fantastic team is currently made up of 5 vets (2 with medicine certificates, and 2 studying imaging and ECC respectively), 6 nurses, a student nurse and 4 client care coordinators. We are proud to have a behaviourist nurse, ECC nurse and ISFM nurse within the team and we have a mobile imaging specialist, cardiologist, and medic for support. Here at White Cross, we have four core principles; quality, integrity, responsibility, and growth, and working towards certificates in your special interest is strongly encouraged

General case load is varied, we have digital x-ray and a new ultrasound machine. Our Group Director can offer support with imaging, and we offer endoscopy as well.

We are looking for a highly motivated veterinary surgeon who can thrive in our high-quality practice. •    Experience in a Small Animal practice
•    RCVS registered
•    Strong communication skills
•    Ability to work well in a team
•    A passion to deliver great clinical quality and fantastic client service
•    Desire and passion to care for pets as if they are your own
