Robert Jones (Blackpool)

Senior Vet - West Coast, Lancashire - Salary up to £75k D.O.E - Relocation Package - Visa sponsorship fully funded for overseas candidates.

Due to our current Senior Vet moving overseas, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced small animal vet, to join our supportive and friendly team as our new Senior Vet. Working closely with the Practice Director, you will help set and maintain high clinical standards in the practice. We aim to grow the practice over the next couple of years, so this is an incredible opportunity and a great time to start with us.

Here at Robert Jones Vets, we are proud to share that the majority of our team have worked here between 5 and 20+ years. The practice is located 15 minutes from Lytham St Annes, a beautiful coastal town with regular transport links into Blackpool, home of the famous Tower, Promenade and Pleasure Beach.

Here's what one of our regular locum Vets, Claire, has to say -

"Good things come in small packages'' describes Robert Jones Vets perfectly. I have done several locum assignments here and from day one, I was made to feel welcome and part of the team. There is a varied client base with good scope for developing one-on-one client relations. The nursing team are skilled, friendly and caring and the support team of Student nurses, ANA's and receptionists are second to none! Their client care skills are the best I have seen in years. Each client is made to feel like part of the family, from the moment the phone is answered, to them completing their appointment. The management team always puts the clients, pets and team first, which is refreshing. I have never felt clinically restricted whilst working here.

So, if you are looking for a small, friendly team, focusing on client care, and staff wellbeing then this is the practice for you. You can also go for a walk to the seaside each lunch time!”

This position would suit an experienced small animal vet, who is capable and confident of working sole charge, mentoring and supporting other veterinary surgeons alongside a small clinical team, with surgical experience in routine procedures and who possesses good communication skills. You will have a team player mentality and a passion to deliver excellent care and client service.

Ideally, this is a full-time role of 36 hours per week - currently worked over four days and includes 1:4 Saturday mornings, with no OOH or on-call. We can consider part-time hours for the right candidate. We are a thriving practice, with a varied small animal caseload, which would suit someone with an interest in medicine and who possesses good/confident surgical skills.

Your own further development will be encouraged ensuring this is a fantastic career opportunity.

In addition to offering a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to work in, we are also offering a salary of up to £75k, dependent on experience, plus a generous relocation package. Visa sponsorship fully funded for our overseas candidates (you must be eligible to register with RCVS).

We know that benefits are key, and that your personal benefits priorities will differ from others. Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority. Flexible working is essential for others, and we are very open to finding a creative working pattern that suits. For clinical staff, CPD is probably critical. Just so you know we offer a wide range of amazing CPD – you'll have access to Knowledge Hub, the best online veterinary learning resource within the industry - and we also offer an allowance to spend on external courses too. If you'd like to learn more, do feel free to contact the recruiter managing this campaign and ask them to talk you through our offerings. Or, if easier, you can find a list at on our careers site CVS Employee Benefits- what we can offer you. (cvsukltd.co.uk)

Our practice isn't perfect (which one is?), so we are not going to lie and promise you what we can't deliver. However, we can promise a position that is supportive, practices evidence based medicine and most of all is committed to work-life balance.
