Head Registered Veterinary Nurse - Borehamwood Vets for Pets

We are looking for an experienced veterinary Nurse to join us in a leadership role as the Head of our fantastic nursing team in Borehamwood; the perfect steppingstone if you're looking for progression in your career.

Whether you're looking for a promotion or have previously held a head nurse position we will support you, along with our highly experienced regional team, in taking on this exciting new challenge. We encourage and support our nurses to develop their skills, and clinical coaching opportunities are available. We'll also support you if you'd would like to undertake an advanced certificate.

Our nurses are veterinary professionals and as such we ensure that they are able to fulfil their clinical potential. We have a team of talented Client Care Advisors to support the client journey, freeing up our Nurses to carry out their roles effectively and enabling you to lead and manage nurse clinics and perform schedule 3 procedures.

You'll be joining our welcoming and inclusive team who are keen for all colleagues to have a voice and share ideas to have a real impact on the success of our practice and drive the business forward. You will help with the daily running of the practice and lead by example, using your training and experience to its fullest to mentor others, delivering the highest standards of client and patient care.

This is a full-time role offering 40 hours per week, currently Monday to Friday, with the possibility of our opening hours being extended to Saturdays in the future. There are no OOHs and we are keen to ensure that we all have a very healthy work/life balance.

Salary for this role is £35,000 to £38,000 per annum.

Our purpose-built standalone surgery complete with high quality facilities and equipment, is situated in a great location inside the M25 on the London Road Retail Park with ample parking and great access to local amenities.

We have great travel links nearby to the practice which include Elstree & Borehamwood railway station offering speedy links in and out of central London. Bus services can take you as far as New Barnet, Edgware, Hatfield, Stanmore, Watford and other parts of Hertfordshire. There's also outstanding road links in and out of London via the A1 and access within a stones throw to the M25, giving excellent links to all of London's Airports.
