We have a fantastic opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant to join our team here at Haygate Vets in Wellington!
This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (between the hours of 08.00 - 19.00) and 1:4 Saturdays (08.00 - 17.00).
The PCA role is one of the foundations of an outstanding veterinary practice, as a PCA you would be involved in supporting our team of qualified RVNs and Vets to provide outstanding care to our patients, working alongside a lovely team of people. This role will involve animal handling, assisting vets and nurses in restraining animals for treatment, cleaning, walking and feeding patients, general cleaning and maintenance duties, answering phone calls, reception cover, greeting clients and providing the highest standards of animal and customer care.
We are looking for someone who really cares about animals. Our ideal candidate will have had some experience with animals before, have excellent interpersonal skills and be a real team player.
The salary for this position will be in line with National Minimum Wage +3% cost of living increase.
