Veterinary Surgeon required at Milford Veterinary Hospital
The Role
Milford Veterinary Hospital are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. This is a full time position, and we can be flexible on the days / hours worked. Responsibilities will include client consultations, surgery, and other clinical duties to keep your day varied. This role would suit a confident Veterinary Surgeon who may have had experience of sole charge although this is not essential.
The full-time role will be 40 hours between 8am-8pm over 4 or 5 days a week depending on your preference. There will be 1:4 Saturday morning shifts and no OOH offering excellent work / life balance.
Salary for this role is up to £65,000 depending on experience.
About Us
We are an RCVS accredited small animal hospital in Surrey. We are based in a lovely location with the countryside on your doorstep, we also have great transport links to Guildford/London via the A3.
State of the art equipment including a video endoscope – perfect for development. Our practice aims to give the highest possible standard of care at all times, in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We have an extensive range of up to date equipment including; digital x-ray processor, in-house laboratory, dental scaler, polisher drill and digital dental x-ray machine, state of the art ultrasound machine, bronchoscopes and video endoscope which allows us to perform laparoscopic bitch spays, cystoscopy, rhinoscopy and thoracoscopy. We also have two theatres and separate cat and dog wards.
About the Team and Culture
We have a team of 5 Veterinary Surgeons and 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses including students and nursing support. We have a cardiology referral clinician with a cardiology certificate who is keen to invest in those interested. We also have our own Out of Hours Vets.
We are a friendly and supportive team who work closely together, for example with inclusive ward rounds three times a day to ensure the best patient care.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a confident candidate who enjoys a mix of surgery and consulting and enjoys being part of a supportive team. Some sole charge experience may be of benefit, but it is not essential. We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with a positive can-do attitude and an active team player. This role may also suit someone with a surgery/medicine certificate given the facilities the practice has.
