Job Details

Vets for Pets Trafford Park are expanding their team and looking for a full time RVN.

You'll be joining a thriving and energetic team of two permanent vets, one part time RVN, one SVN, an Animal Care Assistant and a brilliant, switched-on support team.

Our practice provides an excellent range of facilities (including ultrasound) giving you access to all the equipment and space you need to care for your patients. We ideally want you to be happy with a good mix of surgical time and consulting time. You will be confident to establish and run weight clinics, diabetes clinics and you will oversee our pharmacy and ordering processes. Clinical coaching experience is desirable but not essential. You will have a varied and engaging caseload and will provide passionate and dedicated care for our patients.

Your daily duties will include effective communication with clients; case handovers and communication; liaising with all colleagues to facilitate gold standard patient care; prioritising and providing safe and effective patient care in a timely manner; supporting patients undergoing general anaesthesia and sedation; facilitating diagnostic procedures, including radiography and ultrasound.

Our nurses are veterinary professionals and as such we ensure that they are able to fulfil their clinical potential. We have a team of talented Client Care Advisors to support the client journey, freeing up our Nurses to carry out their roles effectively and enabling you to lead and manage nurse clinics and perform schedule 3 procedures.

Joining us will allow you to work within an exceptional clinical team and develop your career whilst continuing your learning. We also offer access to a multitude of professional development opportunities, or more in-depth programmes developed specifically for primary care nurses.

You will work 40 hours per week, one Saturday in three, weekday shifts to be agreed, with paid lunch breaks and benefits to include:

Along with a competitive salary of up to 32K, we offer all the standard benefits you'd expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships, competitive salary etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, birthday as leave, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home).

Pets just see people. And just like pets, we embrace everyone's differences. We work to break down barriers, attract and develop diverse talent, and create a culture that allows everyone to be the best they can be.

Our diversity and inclusion vision is that everyone is welcome and feels part of our group. So, if you think you're a good match to what we are looking for, and you share our belief that together ‘we're better with pets', we're waiting to hear from you, whatever your background or circumstances.
