We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head Vet to join our wonderful team at Stewarts Vets, situated in Dudley, West Midlands. The practice is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment, so this is a brilliant opportunity to be an integral part of our relaunch. Why not come and join us on this new adventure?

We are looking for a confident vet, who has a passion for mentoring and leadership. This could be a step up for you and a brilliant opportunity to lead and nurture a friendly team or you may have already been in a similar role. You will have autonomy within the role. You will be key to setting and guiding the direction of the clinical development of the team and the practice through clinical audits, vet meetings and clinical projects. This would be great opportunity for a vet wanting to step up to a Head Vet role as you will be well supported by the Practice Director and Hub Clinical Lead.

We have a real focus on each other's progression and development, recognising that our team is crucial to delivering best-practice care for our patients and a welcoming service for our clients. Access to our training for level 3 and level 5 Endorsed Certificates in Veterinary Leadership and Management will be provided to further your knowledge and skills.

We see a varied and interesting caseload of small animal, exotic and wildlife cases. Your role will be a mix of leadership, management, consultations, procedures and surgery with appropriate time allocated for each element. We work to 15-minute appointments with sufficient breaks for catch up time and to work-up cases well.

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week and will include one in four half days on a Saturday, no OOH. Your own further development will be encouraged ensuring that this is a fantastic career opportunity. Dudley is home to the Living Black Country Museum, Dudley Castle and filming set to parts of the TV series Peaky Blinders! Dudley lies within a short drive of the picturesque countryside of Kinver Edge, Clent Hills and Wenlock Edge. The historic market towns of Shropshire such as Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock are nearby for you to enjoy. Access to Birmingham city centre's shopping, events and nightlife is also very easy.
