Registered Veterinary Nurse required at White Cross Vets, Northampton

The Role

Here at White Cross Vets we have an exciting new opportunity for a registered veterinary nurse to join our clinic in Northampton. Day to day duties include inpatient and out patient care, theatre/preparation room duties, nurse appointments, dispensary tasks, assisting with anaesthetics, minimal lab work and theatre nursing, so your day is always varied.

Rota and Salary

We are happy to hear from both full and part time applicants as we are open to accommodating those looking for a more flexible work life balance. The standard full time rota is working a 37.5 hour week, over 5 days plus 1 in 5 Saturdays mornings with time given back in lieu. Part time applicants must also be available to work the Saturday rota. There are no Out Of Hours. 

Salary for the role is up to £30,000 depending on experience, pro rata for part time + Relocation support up to £2,500 if required. 

About Us

Our fantastic team is currently made up of 5 vets (2 with medicine certificates, and 2 studying imaging and ECC respectively), 6 nurses, a student nurse and 4 client care coordinators. We are proud to have a behaviourist nurse, ECC nurse and ISFM nurse within the team and we have a mobile imaging specialist, cardiologist, and medic for support. Here at White Cross, we have four core principles; quality, integrity, responsibility, and growth, and working towards certificates in your special interest is strongly encouraged!

  • Experience in Small Animal practice
  • RCVS registered
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • A passion to deliver great clinical quality and fantastic client service
  • Desire and passion to care for pets as if they are your own
