M Gourley (Ashton-Under-Lyne)

Are you are looking to take the next step in your career and lead a team and would like access to an interesting caseload? If so, this is the role for you!

Gourley Veterinary Surgeons are looking for a Senior Vet to join the team. We are a multi-site, well established, 1st opinion, RCVS Accredited, small animal practice, based in and around Tameside and Manchester, with a passion and dedication to providing the highest quality of care.

The main site, in Ashton-Under-Lyne, is in an excellent location and has a tram, bus and train station within easy walking distance. The practice has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment! You will only be 5 minutes away from a beautiful Country park and close to the foothills of the stunning Peak District National Park, which is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. If you prefer a little more hustle and bustle, Manchester city centre is only 10 minutes away by train, or 20 minutes by car. Manchester International airport is only a 20-minute drive away too!

You will be joining an experienced and dedicated team, of 7 Vets, which includes certificate holders in Small Animal Surgery and Ophthalmology, and you will be fully supported by a large, friendly and experienced Nursing and clinical support team.

This position would suit an experienced small animal vet, who is capable and confident of working sole charge, with surgical experience in routine procedures, and who possesses good communication skills. You will have a passion for mentoring and leadership, as you will be leading a small clinical team. You will have a team player mentality and a passion to deliver excellent care and client service.

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, over 4 days, including 1 in 5 Saturdays 9am – 4pm. Bank Holiday shared rota 9.30am – 1pm. No OOH or on-call in this position.

Salary up to £65k, dependant on experience.
