Registered Veterinary Nurse - Full Time
Truro Vets4Pets
Truro Vets4Pets are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our successful, growing team. We are looking for an enthusiastic character with the ability to problem solve and work well independently and as part of a team.
Each surgery is independently owned by a principal vet and Truro has Raul Galvan MRCVS who has an advanced certificate in surgery.
Our surgery is based near wonderful scenery, with some of the best beaches in the country within 15-20 mins drive, Truro has great access to the A30 and the A390 which connects the city to Falmouth, Redruth, Liskeard, and Plymouth.
This is a Full-Time role, Monday to Friday plus Saturdays on rotation, which is currently only 1 per month.
We also have state of the art equipment including:
• Capnograph
• Ultrasonography
• Multi parameter anaesthetic monitoring
• IV pumps
• Endoscopy
• Patient warming system.
• Electrosurgery
• Onsite arthroscopy and laparoscopy (including keyhole spays)
• Ethylene Oxide Sterilisation
• Orthopaedic surgery and a surgical certificate holder who runs the ship!
Separate cat and dog wards, 2 theatres, visiting certificate holders offering the chance to see and learn more and a friendly warm team who like to work hard and have fun. Working and supporting together as a team is extremely important here.
Our current team consists of 3 vets, 4 RVN, 2 SVN, 6 receptionists and a practice manager and we are looking for someone to join our work family.
Nurses are utilised here, and nurse's clinics, clinical coaching, surgery, and medical nursing are all areas an individual could develop and grow should they wish. CPD is generously funded, encouraged, and planned, and getting better every day is a mantra we live by as a team. No OOH and weekends on rotation currently 1:4.
An RVN with clinical coach qualifications or desire to learn would be wonderful, but not essential.
Please get in touch for informal chat, cuppa and tour of the practice with no obligation.
