Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to join an excellent charity in Kent?

Role: Experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon (some sole charge)

Location: Rhodes Minnis, Kent

Hours: Full or Part-time, Permanent. Up to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, (weekends for emergencies, as and when)

Salary: Competitive, and negotiable. Up to £75k per annum

VetFinders are proud to be the recruitment partner to this wonderful registered charity, a charity that provides a lifeline for animals of all kinds, a sanctuary where those on low incomes can receive the vital and best treatment for their pets.

The role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate, compassionate, and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join the team. To make a difference and change the lives of animals who sadly become homeless or who have suffered injuries or abuse and to provide veterinary care for people who are on a low income. As an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in the veterinary welfare of these animals, and their ongoing care.

The role will suit a veterinary surgeon who has a preference for surgery, it could be a surgery-only vet, but some consultations are available should you want them.

Experience is key to this role, as competency in regards to skill is required, due to sole charge capabilities.

The role is offered on a permanent, self-employed basis, working 40 hours per week minimum. The average week is Monday to Friday, only emergencies are looked at over the weekend, as required.

It goes without saying that the ideal candidate will be qualified, hold RCVS accreditation, and have proof of your right to work in the UK also.

The practice:

The practice is part of The Lord Whisky Sanctuary Fund (registered charity 283483) and was set up over 20 years ago.

The practice has been recently extended through generous donations, to ensure the legacy of work the team has created over the years continues to serve the local community and its pets.

The practice approach is that of a caring, sympathetic, and professional one, working closely with patients and clients, whilst truly caring about their team members and the people and patients they look after. Always ensuring access to high-quality veterinary care by being affordable and convenient to all clients whilst not compromising on veterinary standards.

Excellent equipment in practice, including x-ray, ultrasound, dental machines and much more.

Package and Benefits:

  • Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience, per annum Accommodation if required

Company

VetFinders is a recruitment business with a social mission at its heart. We are more than a recruitment business whose only aim is to make a profit, this isn’t us! We aim to make a profit of course we do but we work with a number of charities  giving back to the industry we love. Giving is at the heart of our business, we work with the local college Askham Bryan sponsoring two nurse students through their studies, have worked  with Street Vet advertising their roles for free, donate to a local charity helping disabled and life limiting children with animal therapy and work with Blue Cross. When we place candidates in a new role we donate enough to pay for a Blue Cross nurse for the day. ‘A dream job for you, a Blue Cross Nurse paid for too.
