We are looking for a First Opinion General Practitioner to join our friendly team at Wilton House Veterinary Clinic. With a mix of consults and surgery, you will be supported by our experienced team – there is no sole charge required.

Working hours are flexible and will be between 8am & 7pm weekdays and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings 8.30am – 1.30pm, accommodation can be provided if needed. No out of hours are required.

Salary up to £63,000 DOE plus plus 10K welcome bonus and 5K relocation allowance.

About Us

We are in Guisborough which is located on the edge of The North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Multiple beaches are close by and the vibrant cities of Newcastle and Durham are easily accessible.

Our team pride themselves on offering exceptional care and we like to treat our patients as if they are our own. We have an amazing team of extremely experienced Veterinary Nurses and Animal Care Assistants who are there to help whenever needed. We offer a well-equipped surgery; fully equipped operating theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound and an in-house laboratory.

Our supportive team is made up of 5.5 Veterinary Surgeons, one of which is enrolled in a GP vet certificate. Our amazing Head Nurse is passionate about weight management and senior care. The rest of the team includes 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses who run all the nurse clinics with different areas of interests including behaviour, feline medicine and diabetes. We have one VCA who is soon to be a Student Veterinary Nurse, 3 Animal Care Assistants, a Practice Manager and 7 Receptionists. We are a very friendly team, full of fun and personality. We love to help our local charities including judging their fun dog shows and donating prizes.

Applicant Requirements

The ideal candidate will be RCVS registered, and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Ideally you will be competent in all routine surgeries and consults. You will be an enthusiastic, passionate and caring individual who works well within a team and practices good medicine and surgery.
