Veterinary Surgeon / Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Camden/ Kings Cross, North London

Salary: Veterinary Surgeon G6 / Senior Veterinary Surgeon G7

We have an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable clinician to join our team on a full-time or part time, permanent contract in a Veterinary Surgeon or Senior Veterinary Surgeon role, dependent on experience and qualifications.

The Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital is the first opinion small animal teaching hospital for the Royal Veterinary College. Located within walking distance of Camden, Euston, Mornington Crescent and Kings Cross Stations. We provide high quality veterinary care to the local community, including a specialist exotic species referral service, in support of our objectives for clinical service, teaching, and research.

Our hospital is patient focused, with animal welfare a priority. We hold numerous gold standard accreditations including rabbit and feline friendly practice. We promote low stress handling for all patients and were ranked ‘outstanding’ by the RCVS across all 5 categories in the Practice Standards Scheme. We were also selected the winner of the Vet Wellbeing Awards ‘medium practice’ category 2019.

You will be working at the RVC’s first opinion hospital, providing high levels of customer service and skilled diagnostics and surgery. You will be teaching the vets of the future, day one clinical and professional skills while demonstrating a compassionate and caring service. Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide and receive feedback are essential.

Working shifts are 8-hour days including a 1-hour lunch break and includes a share in the weekend and on-call rota for inpatient care. We offer a generous reward package including 6 weeks annual leave pro rata, plus paid CPD days alongside personal development plans and access to the RVC online CPD catalogue.

An interest in dermatology or dentistry will be advantageous for this role but not essential.

To discuss the role further or to arrange a chat with a member of our team, contact Hospital Director Anne Richings on 0207 387 8134 or BSAHAdmin@rvc.ac.uk
