Looking for the opportunity to make your mark?
The autonomy to pursue your interests? The freedom to follow your passion?
With a salary to £65k, flexible hours and an innovative bonus scheme Wakefield Vets4Pets could be your answer!
Join the supportive, established Wakefield team and you will have the clinical freedom to pursue your area of interest in a growing business with a highly experienced Partner who's happy to reward you for your expertise.
With a brilliant local reputation (4.5 star google rating) and a practice nomination for this year's Petplan Awards, our Wakefield team have much to be proud of. Steven, our Partner in the practice for 21 years, is looking for an experienced vet to join him and take the practice to the next level. He's keen to find someone with an interest in cardiology or ultrasound but is happy to support any skillset that dovetails with his own surgery skills.
Our purpose-built standalone surgery (take a look at our google tour here ) complete with high quality facilities and equipment, is situated in Wakefield in beautiful West Yorkshire. Only 20 minutes from Leeds and with the Yorkshire Dales on your doorstep, we have the bright lights of the city, great local amenities and easy access to the open spaces and beaches of the Yorkshire countryside. Being right on the junction of the M1 and M62 it is also an ideal base to explore the rest of the country by car and is also only 2 hours on the main train line to London and 3.5 hours to Edinburgh. So, there's plenty to discover and we make sure you have the work/life balance to enjoy it.
This position can be fully flexible hours, full or part time, with no out of hours or late nights. Ideally, you'll work some Saturday mornings on a fair rota basis, shared with the rest of the team, but we're open to suggestions.
We're generous with our CPD offering, which colleagues are actively encouraged and supported to use to further their interests and develop their skills in a direction of their choosing. So, if you want to pursue a post graduate qualification or certificate, we're happy to help support that. So, whether it's certification you're interested in or becoming a practice partner one day, this role offers it all!
As standard we offer all the benefits you would expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships, competitive salary etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home), and innovative profit share and retention bonuses.
If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare, exceptional customer service and would like to join our team, then we would love to hear from you.
Pets just see people. And just like pets, we embrace everyone's differences. We work to break down barriers, attract and develop diverse talent, and create a culture that allows everyone to be the best they can be.
Our diversity and inclusion vision is that everyone is welcome and feels part of our group. So, if you think you're a good match to what we are looking for, and you share our belief that together ‘we're better with pets', we're waiting to hear from you.
