Reception

With a brilliant local reputation (4.5 star google rating) and a practice nomination for this year's Petplan Awards, our Wakefield team has much to be proud of. Steven, our Partner in the practice for 21 years, is looking for an RVN to join his friendly, established team and take the practice to the next level. He's keen to find a team focused, care driven RVN to really make this role their own.

This position, available due to relocation, offers the opportunity to pursue your area of interest in a growing business with a highly experienced Partner who's happy to reward you for your expertise in the nursing field and support you through your career development. Two of the current nursing team have just completed the Improve Schedule 3 course, fully funded by the practice.

Equally, if you are a recently qualified RVN, Steven and the team are happy to support you as much as you need to find your feet.

Our purpose-built standalone surgery (take a look at our google tour here) complete with high quality facilities and equipment, is situated in Wakefield in beautiful West Yorkshire.

Consult Room

Only 20 minutes from Leeds and with the Yorkshire Dales on your doorstep, we have the bright lights of the city, great local amenities and easy access to the open spaces and beaches of the Yorkshire countryside. Being right on the junction of the M1 and M62 it is an ideal base to explore the rest of the country by car and is also only 2 hours on the main train line to London and 3.5 hours to Edinburgh. So, there's plenty to discover and we make sure you have the work/life balance to enjoy it.

Prep Area

This position is full time, 37 hours per week including 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, with no out of hours or late nights. Our late shift finishes at 6:30pm max. twice a week, unless of course late finishes suit you, and then we could do more.

We're generous with our CPD offering, which colleagues are actively encouraged and supported to use to further their interests and develop their skills in a direction of their choosing. So, if you want to pursue a post graduate qualification or certificate, we're happy to help support that.

As standard we offer all the benefits you would expect from a major employer (pension, healthcare, paid memberships, competitive salary etc.) plus a few more, such as excellent career progression, exclusive lifestyle and shopping discounts (up to 30% off at Pets at Home).

If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare, exceptional customer service and would like to join our team, then we would love to hear from you.

Pets just see people. And just like pets, we embrace everyone's differences. We work to break down barriers, attract and develop diverse talent, and create a culture that allows everyone to be the best they can be.

Our diversity and inclusion vision is that everyone is welcome and feels part of our group. So, if you think you're a good match to what we are looking for, and you share our belief that together ‘we're better with pets', we're waiting to hear from you.
