We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced equine ambulatory practitioner (MRCVS-registered/ eligible) with a strong teaching interest and desire to help shape the future of The Glasgow Equine Practice.

Glasgow Equine Practice launched in June 2020 and is a predominantly ambulatory practice based at, and working with, The University of Glasgow’s Equine referral hospital.  A high level of patient care is provided to clients in the local area, follow up of cases in the hospital is encouraged and support from specialists is available at all times. Further qualifications in clinical practice and teaching are encouraged and well supported. As our practice is growing rapidly, this is a unique time to join as we invest in our people, facilities and equipment. With this in mind, an interest in business management would be advantageous.

The Glasgow Equine Hospital is accredited by the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme as an Equine Veterinary Hospital, which includes assessment in categories such as client services, in-patient services, diagnostic services, team and professional responsibility and ambulatory services. The Veterinary School has recently been rated 7th in the World and 1st in the UK for quality of education and training. Clinical audit is undertaken formally, and staff maintain clinical and research links with leading veterinary authorities worldwide, in order to expand skill sets.
We welcome applications from candidates who hold Veterinary degree, registerable with the RCVS prior to commencing employment.
