Close to Edinburgh, as well as coast & hills.  The area boasts some fine beaches and to the south lie the Lammermuir hills.

Our clients are a busy small animal practice providing the ideal opportunity to use your veterinary skills to the full. A great, friendly, social team of vets, nurses, and support staff, and you would be part of the excellent team. The practice has a full range of surgical and medical facilities and we are also a Veterinary Nursing training practice. The main site is an RCVS Practice Standards Scheme Accredited Small Animal Practice.
 

Our clients are looking for a team player. Someone who likes to join in with our social events as well as engaging with clients. We are looking for a good communicator who has empathy with clients and their pets, and a passion to extend their range of experience, alongside our like-minded team. We play an active role in the local community and have great pride in the amount of positive client feedback that we receive.

Consultations are 20 minutes as standard, to allow enough time to evaluate most cases, though longer consultations are booked when needed. The main site was recently upgraded to accommodate 3 consulting rooms in addition to our spacious surgical suite with everything you would expect including both dental and digital radiography. 

The staffs work/life balance is important to the practice. Even though you would be asked to work alternate Saturday mornings (for 4 hours) this is offset by a 4-day working week of 36 hours. There is no on call duty, though on occasion they will keep in a stable in-patient.

Personal development is actively encouraged, and the practice is willing to support specialist areas of interest or help broaden your depth of knowledge. Equally, mentoring support is available for those who have recently graduated both through the RCVS VetGDP scheme and also the Graduate Development program.
