The people who work at Bolton Vets4Pets truly make the practice. We are a close knit team despite our ever growing staff and clientele. It is an open and supportive place to work at, where we're constantly learning new things from each other. It is a fast paced environment and there is rarely a boring day. I fell very lucky to have started my career with Bolton Vets4Pets with such a great team and support system.
Zoe Goh- Previous Vet and Current Locum Vet

At Bolton Vets4Pets we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our caring, supportive team. Our work-life balance values are displayed in numerous ways via our daily schedules. Lunch break guaranteed, with time specifically put in the diary for catching up, calls, and emergencies. The practice team, led by our JVP Jen, can offer part time hours alongside an established team of 4 vets and additional clinical team of RVN's and an excellent reception team. Due to currently having a graduate vet in practice, who is less than 1 year qualified, Jen would require you to have experience as she can't provide the sufficient support required two new graduates.

Bolton is a well organised, popular first opinion practice with a large following and a varied and interesting caseload. Jen is ideally looking for a part time vet who would work 2-3 days per week of which we can accommodate shorter shift patterns such as 10am-4pm. Overall, Jen is very flexible in terms of shifts and will try to accommodate different shift patterns that work for both you and the current team. If your preference is consulting only this is possible, otherwise you will have at least one surgical day a week.
In order to maintain your work life balance and enjoy everything this area has to offer you will work within a 1 in 4 weekend rota, Saturday only from 9am to 12 noon sole charge with 2 RVN's and 2 receptionists in the practice and no OOH.

Bolton is a family friendly city and has ranked as one of the happiest places to live in the Northwest. The town is in close proximity to both Manchester and Liverpool, under an hour from the Peak District, one hour from Leeds, under 2 hours from the Lake District and Snowdonia National Park in Wales. The cost of living is very attractive, especially for those keen to step on the property ladder, as residents enjoy a higher standard of living that would ordinarily cost much more in other parts of the UK. Those with school aged children can enjoy a good standard of education and access to some great Colleges and Universities in nearby cities.

Jen offers a competitive salary and a generous benefits package that you would expect from a major veterinary employer. As an added bonus we can offer you a sign on bonus on joining us and a further payment on passing your probationary period.

For further information please contact Jen via email: jen.cooke@vets4pets.com to arrange a confidential conversation. Alternatively, please visit www.vets4petscareers.com.
