Veterinary surgeon – High Wycombe
Overview:
• Fantastic salary up to £75,000 depending on experience
• Proudly independent practice
• Tier 2 accredited
• 12 Vet team including cert holders in Cardiology, surgery, and cert AVP
• Fantastic case load for someone wanting to start a certificate – funding available
• 4-day week with weekends on a rota
An extremely rare opportunity has arisen to join a proudly independent veterinary practice based in High Wycombe. The practice offers modern healthcare with traditional values, the highest level of patient care combined with good, old fashioned customer care.
You will be joining an experienced and long-standing team with an excellent local reputation. They have experience of employing, supporting, mentoring and retaining new graduates and pride themselves on a fun and supportive environment.
The practice is, as you would expect from a Tier 2 accredited practice, very well equipped including Dental room with X-Ray, in house lab and full ASIF ortho kit with a brand new hospital opening in 2023.
There is an excellent case load to support candidates wanting to pursue a certificate with various cert holders within the practice including one Vet who has started their ESVPS surgery cert and another who is halfway through their ESVPS cardiology cert. Any interests are actively supported and encouraged.
The benefits:
• Salary up to £75,000
• 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays
• £2000 CPD allowance with 5 days’ CPD leave
• Certificate funding available
• Accommodation if required

• vets generally expect to receive approximately £3000-6000 per annum extra for the in patient care and weekend rota
• RVCS/ VDS
The rota:
• 4-day week
• 1 in 8 weekends (Saturday surgery plus in patient on call)
• 1 in 8 weekends second on call for in patients.
• No OHH except some in patient care ( 1 in 8 weekdays with extra pay)
