Veterinary Surgeon
Yeovil Vets4Pets - Full or Part Time

If you are looking to join a small, friendly practice with a great reputation in the local area, we have the role for you here at Yeovil Vets4Pets.
We first opened in 2014 and have retained the same team since opening our doors! Claire Hodges RVN MBVNA also joined the team at this time and has more recently taken on the ownership and clinical lead, in August 2020. The practice has gone from strength to strength in this time and is now an extremely successful business as well as providing a first-class service to our loyal client base, having been RCVS accredited ‘Outstanding' for Client Care and Inpatient Services.
One of the current team is now branching out and taking a different direction in their career, leaving an exciting opportunity for a new colleague to join Claire and her brilliant team.
As well as being supported by Claire, a multi certificate holder, you'll be working alongside an incredibly experienced and supportive vet team including David, who as well as having experience of owning his own practice and being a very experienced vet himself, is also a brilliant teacher and ready to mentor any less experienced colleagues. You'll also be supported by Marian, a 6-year qualified vet with a passion for surgery and our wonderful team of nurses, VCA and Client Care Advisors.
Claire is a big supporter of having a great life/work balance, understanding the importance of wellbeing, and knowing that is what's needed for the team to provide the care they do. That means this role is offered as a full or part time position, with a clear diary structure and lots of team catch ups factored into the day as well as 20-minute consults as standard. The practice also closes at 6pm several days a week and the weekend rota is just 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.
In joining our team and supporting a great community and client base, we are looking for a colleague with solid GP experience, a team player with great communication skills and someone that shares our passion for providing the highest level of veterinary care.

In return we can provide a supportive and welcoming environment, in addition to:

• Salary up to £55,000, commensurate with experience
• 5.6 weeks holiday including bank holidays, (increasing after 2 years' service)
• Private Health Care
• Life Assurance 4 x Annual Salary
• Contributory Pension Scheme
• Paid memberships (RCVS, BVA, VDS)
• Dedicated CPD allowance
• Funding and support towards Certificates available
• Career progression
• No OOH
• Relocation allowance
• Fully funded Sponsorship/Visa
• Cycle to work scheme
• Access to Colleague Assistance Programmes - Retail Trust, Port of Call and MHFA
• Exclusive company discounts and rewards - including 20% off at Pets at Home, The Groom Room and Vet Group
The practice itself is based in a stand-alone building on a busy retail park with ample parking and popular amenities nearby. We're also only a 5-minute walk to the train station, close to the town centre a short journey away and just 1 hour away from thriving tourist destinations such as Exeter, Bath and the coast!

We want our colleagues to be as diverse as our clients. Our teams are inclusive and celebrate difference, so if you meet our role requirements, we'd love to hear from you.
