Registered Veterinary Nurse required at Fairview Veterinary Hospital

 The Role 

Fairview Veterinary Hospital is seeking to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team! 

 This is a Full-Time permanent position in a busy fast paced, long established veterinary hospital in Dublin. 

The role involves a mix of clinical and surgical duties with some minor reception duties from time to time. Your daily responsibilities include prepping for surgical procedures, anaesthetic support, patient recovery, pharmacy work, restraint & handling, client management and other clinical duties. You will be working alongside our excellent team of experienced RVN’s and animal care assistants that will support you in your role. 

There is a 1 in 3 rota for weekends, with limited workload on the weekend shifts and a half day shift during the week. 

Our current shift patterns are: 40 hours per week; mornings 9am-1pm and evenings 2pm-6pm alternating with mornings 10am-2pm and evenings 3pm-7pm.

There is no OOH with this role. 

Salary is up to €34,000 depending on experience. 

 About Us 

Fairview Veterinary Hospital was set up in 1974 by Michael Tuite Snr MRCVS, and for the last 40 years has been providing top quality veterinary care to our clients on the Northside of Dublin and beyond. We have all the mod-cons in our hospital to aid us in giving the highest quality care to our patients and clients including Ultrasound, X-Ray, In-House Blood Machines and fully computerized laboratory. Our patient load is mostly feline and canine patients with some small furries visiting us too. We are a long-established city centre practice in a very friendly and international community on the north side of Dublin city, just across from Fairview Park and the seaside at Clontarf.  

 About the Team and Culture 

Our hospital team is comprised of three vets, thee nurses, animal care assistants and receptionists. Our team is very experienced, and we promote a supportive working environment between all our colleagues.  

 Applicant Requirements 

We are looking for both experienced and early career Veterinary Nurses, whom we will work with to develop their skills and interests. The candidate should be caring and compassionate with animal welfare and wellbeing as their focus. You would ideally be a hardworking, diligent and questioning individual.
