Here at Putlands Veterinary Surgery we are excited to be recruiting for a Student Veterinary Nurse to join our team.
We are looking for an individual who possesses great communication skills, is passionate about promoting exceptional animal care and enjoys working in a team environment.
This is a full time role working Monday - Friday 40 hours a week (8 hour shifts between the hours of 8am-7pm) with the usual time off for college. 2 in 7 Saturday mornings with time off in lieu. No Bank Holidays or Out of Hours required.
Experience and Qualifications needed:
Our ideal applicant will be reliable with a willingness to learn and to be able to work within a team. Previous experience in a veterinary environment is essential.
-Five GCSEs at grade C and above (or equivalent), which must include English language, maths and a science subject.
OR
-An animal nursing assistant (ANA) or veterinary care assistant (VCA) qualification, along with functional skills level two in application of number and communication.
The salary for this position will be in line with National Minimum Wage +3% cost of living increase.
