It's 2023.  Why not do something a bit different?

Picture this:  Beautiful, green, rolling Southern hills in New Zealand.  A thriving community where we are innovative, creative and passionate about helping each other to get the job done.  A community like this means plenty of livestock, farms, pets and animals both big and small that need care and attention.

This is where you come in.

We are VetNZ. Operating throughout Southland and parts of Otago New Zealand, we are a key part of thriving communities where everyone knows our names.  Our clients trust us to look after all creatures large and small: from dogs to dairy cows, unique NZ wildlife and everything in between.

We're progressive, high-tech veterinarians involved in some of the most critical support of NZ's important agricultural industry and we always have time for the animals that are part of our client's family too.

We are expanding throughout the region, and have exciting opportunities in multiple locations for qualified veterinarians to move to Southland or Otago and work with our team.  We have extended family on the West Coast and in Waikato, allowing our team to spread their wings throughout NZ.

We have a fantastic network of support staff comprised of veterinary technicians, vet nurses, retail and client support staff across all our clinics.  Our vets are from all walks of life, and love the banter of the office and thrill of problem solving with our clients.  Together, our teams provide veterinary service to clients across the beautiful Southern region.  So that means your daily drive to work comes with a stunning countryside view!

Could this be the lifestyle you've been looking for? If so, keep reading.

As a progressive veterinarian practice: we have in-house blood analysers, digital radiography, ultrasound and endoscopy.  We are experienced in a wide range of medical and surgical animal procedures including orthopaedics.  Data is the life blood of our business, to provide clients with the most comprehensive and innovative collection of programs and services.  But these are only as good as the people we have, and we love bringing people to our part of the world to start the next chapter of their lives.

We talk about being here for good, both in terms of the long term and the betterment of the people and animals where we live.  Because we're serious about our role in the local community, we run regular farmer information seminars, and support many local charities, events and not-for-profit organisations.

You are the sort of person who loves variety in your work.  Of course, you are a qualified vet and you're as good with people as you are with your furry (and fluffy) patients.  You want to be part of a safe and friendly community and work with other passionate veterinarians.

It will help if you love the great outdoors, because here we've got rivers, lakes, mountains and coastlines to keep you busy.  For a taste of the metropolis we have Queenstown and Dunedin on our doorstep, and quick international connections around NZ and the world.

Ready to make the move?

We're offering a great lifestyle in a scenic environment.  Considering this is probably the friendliest and safest region in the world, it really is lucky that you decided to become a veterinarian so that you could take up this opportunity we're offering.  Competitive remuneration, relocation and more is on offer!
