Small Animal & Equine Vet – Tay Valley Veterinary & Equine Centre, Perth

Tay Valley is an established, well equipped small animal and equine RCVS accredited practice. Our practice is in beautiful Perthshire, which has been voted the 5th best place to live in the UK.

You will be joining a friendly, dedicated team of 11 Vets and 12 RVNs who strive to provide an excellent standard of care to all patients. As a team we make every effort to create and maintain a positive working environment. We also enjoy socialising together outside of work.

Our practice is well equipped with a portable DR x-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, gastroscope clinics, inpatient/work up facilities in house, with stables, stocks and trot up area. We have regular visiting specialists in dental surgery, dental x-ray and endoscopy. We can also provide cytology, faecal and blood smear analysis in house.

We are looking for an experienced vet to join our single site, purpose-built practice. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, fun and looking to build good relationships with our clients.

The salary is £39-63K dependent on experience.

  • A forward thinking practice with clinical freedom. We are keen to do as much as possible in house and develop our interests Vet GDP advisor accredited practice 1:5 OOH rota – long weekend (Fri-Mon) off after on call weekend On call nurses triaging all calls and here 24/7 for inpatient care
  • 4.5 day week and a good work/life balance, time back for any rare overtime worked and three days with 5pm finish
