VetPartners in Rosebery is looking for an experienced Emergency Veterinarian with leadership aspirations to grow and develop our ECC team at Sydney Veterinary Emergency & Specialists (SVES). The 1000m2 purpose-built facility provides excellent 24-hour emergency care to patients with the support of highly skilled veterinarians and exceptional staff backed by a supportive team of specialists in surgery, medicine, anaesthesia, imaging and dermatology.

About the Role:

In addition to your role as an Emergency Veterinarian, you will also enjoy non-clinical leadership responsibilities, including:

  • Working with the General Manager and Clinical Leader in the development of strategies to further improve the ECC service.
  • Identifying training and mentorship needs of ECC veterinarians and nurses.
  • Coordinating learning and development opportunities for ECC veterinarians, with support from on-site specialists.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in ECC processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Positively implementing organisational change through effective communication with the ECC team and other department leaders.
  • Supporting recruitment efforts, including conducting ECC vet interviews, onboarding, and inductions.
  • Conducting career development planning meetings with ECC veterinarians.
  • Fostering positive relationships with referring veterinarians.
  • Responding to client feedback, including dispute resolution.
