Mildmay (Winchester)
We are looking for a full–time RVN to work in our friendly supportive hospital environment on a Maternity cover contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly day team at Mildmay Veterinary Hospital in Winchester. Mildmay is a purpose built animal hospital with an additional practice in Overton. In 2019 we added an out of hours team that enables Mildmay to offer 24 hours of care to our clients and their pets by providing a seamless service with MiNight Vet.
The role would be maternity cover for one year starting April 2023, with a potential to move into a permanent role at the end of the duration. We have 40 hours a week available with a share in the 1:3 Saturday rota and are happy to discuss how many hours you would like to work. So let us know what flexible working looks like to you and we will try to accommodate.
You will be working with an excellent team of 9 vets and a nursing team of 13, including PCA's, Student RVN's and RVN's. The nursing team has a supportive team culture and offers a great opportunity to work on a varied workload (with varied advanced practitioners and special interests). The practice has invested in a range of high tech equipment including ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, laparoscopy, an in-house laboratory in order to provide you with the best possible working environment.
This is a great opportunity for an individual to use their clinical skills to their full potential with a varied workload and duties will include carrying out nurse consultations.
