GVC are providing recruitment support to a large veterinary group who are actively recruiting for an Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Surgeon in Northumberland.

The Practice:

As an Emergency and Critical Care Veterinary Surgeon, you will be joining a busy referral hospital based in Northumberland, well equipped with four theatres, one with fluoroscopy, a 160 slice CT with power injector and automated bolus tracking, DR, multiple ultrasound machines, video flexible and ridged endoscopy/laparoscopy/thoracoscopy/arthroscopy and a 1.5T MRI which covers them for most eventualities.

The role can be full time or part time working 3-4 days per week with 1 in 4 weekends (no nights). Your role will include consultations for emergency cases, admitting referral cases, managing critical patients, some medical work ups and basic urgent surgeries. Working alongside an experienced referral team, you will join a team offering services in orthopaedics, spinal surgery, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, neurology and cardiology.

•    Up to £60,000 per annum DOE (pro rata for part time)

To be considered for this position, you must have the following or clearly be able to demonstrate your suitability for the role by showing:
 
•    Relevant veterinary qualification from an accredited university recognised in the UK
•    Up to date CPD
•    Relevant language skills – English
•    Licenced to provide veterinary care in the UK – RCVS registered
•    Right to work in the UK
