GVC are providing recruitment support to a large veterinary group who are actively recruiting for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their welcoming and supportive team based in Solihull.

The Practice:

As a Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will join a diverse and vibrant team and work alongside the Clinical Director to support their growth and development. The team is split between 3 sites with a dedicated night team at the main 24 hour site, a well-equipped practice able to deal with a broad range of operations from routine neutering, exploratory laparotomies and orthopaedics.

The role will be split 75% clinical and 25% protected managerial time each week. You will focus on optimising patient care through the support and development of the clinical team members with a strong focus on the continuous improvement of current best practice protocols. Reporting to the Clinical Director and working alongside a second Lead Vet plus a Practice Manager and Clinical Nursing Manager, you be responsible for the line management of around 5 veterinary surgeons carrying out regular 1-1s, PDRs and CPD plans.

The role can be flexed to your clinical interests, applicants that strive for excellent first opinion care standards are welcomed.
    

Details of the role:

•    Up to £65,000 per annum DOE (pro rata for part time)
•    4 day working week with set pattern
•    1.5 weekends in 7 with time back in lieu
•    No OOHs
•    5 weeks holiday + bank holidays + Birthday Leave
•    RCVS, BSAVA & VDS fees paid

To be considered for this position, you must have the following or clearly be able to demonstrate your suitability for the role by showing:
 
•    Relevant veterinary qualification from an accredited university recognised in the UK
•    Up to date CPD
•    Relevant language skills – English
•    Licenced to provide veterinary care in the UK – RCVS registered
•    Right to work in the UK
