Worcester Vets4Pets
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Vets4pets Worcester.
In addition to a rewarding role in a superb location, you can also expect to receive:
This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week, whether you are a new graduate or an experienced vet our team are happy to mentor and support you. For a new graduate you will be working 8 hour shifts including a half hour paid lunch break. There will be 1:2 weekends for training, after a year and completing RCVS GDP you'll move onto 1:3 weekends. You'll always work alongside an experienced vet and you'll never have to work sole charge. You'll also have use of in channel communications - sharing photos of cases etc. via Slack program.
If you are an experienced vet you will be working 8 hour shifts including a half hour paid lunch break and 1:3 weekends. Fully funded CPD is encouraged and supported which includes certificates with a learning agreement. Dedicated admin time (prescriptions, research, and lab results) will be incorporated in your schedule as well as ward round and a dedicated ops day.
You'll be joining a team of 4 vets, including our JVP and owner, 5 RVN's, 2 SVN's and our head nurse. We are all supported by our dedicated admin team made up of our practice Manager, Client Services Manager, 2 Insurance Processors, 3 Client Care Advisors and a Digital Practice advisor.
Our practice has a reception area with separate dog and cat waiting areas. Cat area includes areas to place baskets off the floor and blankets to cover if cats are scared. We have 4 consulting rooms, 2 operating theatres - 1 for routine surgeries and 1 for orthopaedic and complicated soft tissue surgeries and there is a dedicated lab area including sedivue, digital microscope, procyte, catalyst, UA analyser and Vet connect Plus. We also have a separate utility area with Instrument washer/disinfector, Vacuum Autoclave, Washing Machine and Tumble dryer as well as a colleague room with multimedia screen, dishwasher, air fryer, Nespresso coffee machine and chilled water dispenser. You'll have use of all our equipment including K laser, 3D x-ray Machine, DR x-ray machine with Bucky table, Endoscope, Ultrasound Machine with dedicated ultrasound table and much more!
We're based in the beautiful historic city of Worcester, with Worcester Cathedral set along the river Severn. There is good travel links to London, Birmingham and Cardiff and the Practice is set just off the M5 motorway. We are only 10 mins from the beautiful countryside and are situated on the edge of the Cotswolds famous for picturesque villages, arts and crafts and antiques. We're also only 30 minutes from Birmingham international airport. There are lots of professional house shares and houses to rent/buy in Worcester. If you are relocating, we will help find places to live before arrival (not paid).
