Role: Head Veterinary Surgeon

 

Location: Wishaw, Lanarkshire

 

Hours: Permanent, 4 - day week, 1 in 4 weekends, no OOHs, or bank holidays (Part time considered)

 

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience, £65-85k per annum, pro rata

The Role:

 

 

 

Are you a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon looking for a Senior or Head Vet role? Maybe you have years of experience in this role, looking for a change, or maybe you are at a stage in your career to take the next step?

 

 

 

This practice in a new venture and has been going from strength to strength since its recent opening. The potential to drive this practice forward is eagerly anticipated, with plans for extension in the near future, they require an experienced and dynamic Head Vet to assist in this.

 

 

 

The role is in a first opinion practice, they ideally need someone who enjoys both consults and surgeries, and is capable of sole charge, and someone who can take charge in terms of ownership of the practice and the wider team.

 

 

 

You will be given autonomy and clinical freedom in this role, as well as have the capacity to grow and develop particular interests. You will have RCVS registration and be a fully qualified Veterinary Surgeon.

 

 

 

Due to the level of role 5 plus years’ experience is required for this position, all applications will be considered.

 

 

A full time, permanent position, over 4 days per week, 40 hours per well. The weekends rota is over 4 weeks. This practice values work life balance, and can be flexible where required. The working hours are between 9am-6pm. Part time applicants will be considered also.

The Practice:

 

 

 

An independent practice set in Lanarkshire, Scotland, this is a new practice with lots of plans for growth and expansion.

 

 

 

State of the art equipment, including, brand new idexx machines, and in house labs- Haematology analyser , Biochemistry analyser, Snap kit analyser, modern DR Xray system, portal dental Xray, harmonic scalpel, endoscopy, plus much more.

 

 

The team are experienced and professional, with a very supportive network of staff. This is a new team, but it comes with lots of energetic, experienced and friendly people, who have bonded to become an excellent team.
