Experienced Veterinary Surgeon (Leith Walk)

Salary £45,000-60,000 p/a (pro rata)

We’re looking for a proactive vet to join our enthusiastic Braid team! Working primarily at our busy Leith Walk practice in central Edinburgh, you will look after our canine, feline and exotic patients and support junior members of the team.

You would be an all-rounder with the surgical and medical skills to work independently, though support from our hospital is also available where required. We have digital radiography, dental x-rays, and ultrasound available on site, as well as in-house blood machines to work up medical cases.

We’re keen to support our vets’ clinical development and career progression – you can use our CPD budget to develop a relevant interest or pursue a post-graduate qualification!

  • Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (pro rata) depending on experience and qualifications
  • 3 or 4 days per week (10.25h days) – but please discuss flexible working patterns with us!
  • 1 in 6 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) with equal TOIL

 We can also offer:

  • 6.6 weeks of holiday per year
  • CPD allowance of £1750 per annum, with further qualifications supported
  • Health Shield – wide ranging contributions for health and wellbeing treatments – from dentistry to sports massage
  • RCVS Membership paid
  • Two other membership subscriptions (e.g. BVA, BSAVA)
  • VDS cover
  • Enhanced paternity, maternity, adoption, shared parental leave and surrogacy pay
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Company sick pay (2 weeks at full pay, 4 weeks at half pay)

Please send your CV to Hans via the APPLY button or call 0131 6672478 for an informal discussion of the role.
