Animal Health Centre

RVN vacancy, Bristol

The Animal Health Centre are a small, friendly and supportive first opinion practice is looking for a caring, dedicated and reliable RVN.

We can accommodate a full time or a part time Nurse to join us. Full time hours would be 40 hours per week but we can be flexible to discuss fewer hours.

We are lucky enough to say there is also no OOH/ bank holiday requirements. We do have a Saturday morning (9am - 12pm) rota which is worked on a 1 in 4 basis.

We are looking for someone who has proven nursing experience who is confident in a variety of nursing duties and nurse clinics. We encourage further development in any areas of interest that can help the practice evolve.

We pride ourselves on providing a prompt approach to treatment and personal service for our client's animals. Our clients and their pets are lovely and we get to know them very well.

Here is a testimonial from one of our current team members:

Working at Animal Health Centre has been my favourite job I have ever had. The team is lovely and incredibly supportive, especially of the things that matter such as work-life balance, progression, and utilising any skills or special interests that the staff have. For example I have used my skills to resurrect the practice social media presence, and I have been lucky enough to undertake an Animal Care Assistant apprenticeship with CVS to get some more hands-on experience with the patients. Our practice manager looks after us really well – we have regular 1to1 monthly check ins where we can chat about anything at all, and we are also regularly treated to healthy treats (and what feels like a bottomless supply of tea and biscuits!) thanks to the CVS Refresh budget. The building itself is full of character, and I particularly enjoy sitting in our back garden during breaks on sunny days. The clients have mostly been seeing us for years or have been recommended us by word of mouth, and they are also a lovely bunch that you really get to know as individuals. Overall, I can't speak highly enough of the practice!
