Head Veterinary Surgeon |Partnership Opportunity | Liverpool

GVC are providing recruitment support to a large veterinary group who are actively recruiting for a Head Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team in Liverpool.

The Practice:
    
As a Head Veterinary Surgeon, you will support the Joint Venture Partner in continuing to deliver excellent pet health care and customer service, as well as growing the business within a bright and purpose-built practice is fully air-conditioned.

The practice is well established with a large client base, offering a varied and interesting workload for small animals. They are fully equipped, including Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, ECG , Multiparameter, In-house Lab and Thermocautery, offering you clinical freedom to work up your own cases from start to finish, as well as supporting the JVP with the management of the clinical team including Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs, a Student Nurse and Veterinary Care Assistants, all with the support of the Practice Manager and the Reception Team.

Located on the outskirts of Liverpool, the motorway links are excellent, giving easy access to both Liverpool City centre and Liverpool John Lennon Airport, as well as the nearby coastline and countryside, including the Peak District, the Pennines, the Lake District and many more.

What’s more, there is also a real possibility of a future Partnership opportunity for the right candidate.

Details of the role:

•    Up to £65,000 per annum DOE 
•    Professional membership fees paid        
•    CPD allowance, support is also available for funding a certificate        
•    40 hours a week, 1:3 weekends and no OOH's     
•    5.6 Weeks annual leave, rising to 6.6 weeks after two years        
•    Company Pension and Life Assurance 
•    Potential relocation package

Applicant requirements:
 
To be considered for this position, you must have the following or clearly be able to demonstrate your suitability for the role by showing:
 
•    Relevant veterinary qualification from an accredited university recognised in the UK
•    Up to date CPD
•    Relevant language skills – English
•    Licenced to provide veterinary care in the UK – RCVS registered
•    Right to work in the UK
