New Graduate Vet – Firstvets – South Hetton - New Graduate Programme - Small Animal Vet

We are a small, forward thinking, busy first opinion small animal practice, with a loyal client base built up over 40 years in the heart of a semi-rural community with exciting plans for the future.

Due to career progression we are looking for a new graduate or recently qualified vet who wishes to expand their skills and knowledge. You will have the support of vets with between 15 and 25 years experience and caring nursing and support staff to help you through the daunting start of your career, with a nearby network of referral practices.

You will also join our New Graduate programme offering you dedicated 10 CPD days a year to help you develop your clinical and non-clinical skills.

Working 40 hours between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, currently no weekends, no out of hours and no Bank Holidays. With weekly wellness session (free food)

The practice is situated on the doorstep of the North Pennines with stunning coastline, countryside, towns and cities including the beautiful historic Cathedral city of Durham within easy reach, easy access to major road links, trains and airports. With Leisure facilities, shopping outlets, supermarkets close by and competitive housing prices.

  • Salary of £34,000 which increases at the end of year 1 and at the end of year 2
