Due to retirement of our valued senior ophthalmologist, North East Veterinary Ophthalmology are seeking a qualified (or near qualified) veterinary ophthalmologist to certificate/AVP level to assist in providing a high standard of care to dogs and cats in the North East of Scotland.

We are a small team of two vets and two excellent RVNs with very efficient support from a VCA and a receptionist. Usual working hours are Monday to Friday with quiet and flexible on call, offering a good work-life balance. CPD fully funded to maintain relevant interests and support given to pursue the BSAVA Masters in Veterinary Clinical Research or equivalent qualification if desired.

All the usual equipment expected in second opinion ophthalmic practice is at your disposal including our newly acquired phacoemulsification machine, high end ultrasound unit and ERG.

Accommodation and vehicle can be provided if this is of interest to help you settle in this beautiful part of Scotland with its easy access to outdoors activities including many beautiful beaches with recreational maritime opportunities.


The Cairngorm national park and major snowsports centres are within a short drive. Generous salary with relocation assistance and partnership prospects available for the right candidate.
