We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team at Petmedics, on a 12-month maternity cover contract, starting May 2023, to provide gold standard patient care in both wards and theatre at their RCVS accredited Small Animal Veterinary Hospital. There is potential for this role to lead to a permanent position post maternity cover.

Salary £23,500 - £35,000 per annum pro rata D.O.E

Petmedics is a large 24-hour veterinary hospital, staffed by a truly superb clinical team of 37 veterinary surgeons, 37 nurses and 17 PCAs, all committed and able to offer the best possible level of care to our patients. We have a large waiting room (and separate cat waiting room) and our facilities include - 4 theatres, 6 consulting rooms, intensive care unit, digital X-ray, CT scanner, ultrasound scanner, endoscopy, laparoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and in-house laboratory (including blood gases).

Along with general nursing duties, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our Certificate holders in a variety of different disciplines. We are looking for a confident RVN who works to a high standard.

We can consider full or part-time hours, with the potential for a permanent position. You will be required to work a share of weekends. Rota pattern can be discussed further at interview stage.

We are offering an attractive pro rata salary £23,500 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience and length of qualification.

We know that benefits are key, and that your personal benefits priorities will differ from others. Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority. Flexible working is essential for others, and we are very open to finding a creative working pattern that suits. For clinical staff, CPD is probably critical. Just so you know we offer a wide range of amazing CPD – you'll have access to Knowledge Hub, the best online veterinary learning resource within the industry - and we also offer an allowance to spend on external courses too. If you'd like to learn more, do feel free to contact the recruiter managing this campaign and ask them to talk you through our offerings. Or, if easier, you can find a list at on our careers site CVS Employee Benefits- what we can offer you. (cvsukltd.co.uk)
