Willow Veterinary Centre

Small Animal Vet - Willow Veterinary Clinic, Norwich, Norfolk

Here at Willows we're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated vet to join our small, cheerful and positive thinking team. Our well-established practice has a reputation locally for being warm, friendly and caring. We expanded in November 2017 with the opening of our new site in central Norwich. It has state of the art facilities which enable us to practice the best of modern, evidence based veterinary medicine.

We'd love to support your development both clinically and personally so we'd be thrilled to help you work towards a certificate but we also appreciate the value and immense skill of a true all-round general practitioner so there's no pressure to narrow your field if you don't want to.

We're sadly losing one of our lovely colleagues who has been internally promoted into a leadership position so we're looking for someone who's confident to work sole-charge on occasion if necessary.

As well as the support of our team of great vets and nurses in house we also have a lovely regional clinical lead who is extremely generous with her time and offers an extra sounding board for your trickier cases as well as a free specialist medicine advice service to back you up. You would have access to our visiting cardiology and surgery certificate holders who take internal referrals and are happy for you to shadow them to develop your own clinical skills.

We can offer flexible hours, whether you're looking for shifts in the morning, in the afternoon or fewer long days. Whatever your circumstances and requirements please get in touch, we're keen to work with anyone with caring or family responsibilities, voluntary or sports commitments or who's just looking for more “life” in their work/life balance. We have no OOH requirement.

We know that benefits are key, and that your personal benefits priorities will differ from others. Holidays, pensions, discounts, paternal leave, fee payments or share save schemes might be your priority. Flexible working is essential for others, and we are very open to finding a creative working pattern that suits. For clinical staff, CPD is probably critical. Just so you know we offer a wide range of amazing CPD – you'll have access to Knowledge Hub, the best online veterinary learning resource within the industry - and we also offer an allowance to spend on external courses too. If you'd like to learn more, do feel free to contact the recruiter managing this campaign and ask them to talk you through our offerings. Or, if easier, you can find a list on our careers site CVS Employee Benefits- what we can offer you. (cvsukltd.co.uk)
